How to become a member ?

For everyone that loves Lake Duhamel, join the majority and become a member of the association for only 30$/year.

This amounts helps to cover mainly the management fees, the events, and the water tests that each year allows us to better understand the evolution of our lake.

History

Guillaume Thibault and his wife Wabana Maconce were the first settlers to the lake Duhamel in 1874.

What is remarkable is that they have settled in lake 5 years before the founding of the village of St-Jovite. Why ? Because to found a village, the clergy demanded a minimum of 300 souls. Without this population, the clergy was no commitment to build a church, a school, to send religious to heal the sick or meet other needs.

Lake Duhamel Action Plan

The City of Mont-Tremblant has expressed a desire to preserve the quality of the lakes of its territory. Therefore, participating in the Blue Laurentides program developed by the CRE Laurentides, the City's main objective was to carry out specific action plans for watershed lakes of its territory.

Monitoring of action plans

Sample and monitor the quality of the lake water (private firm every three years).
